It means navigating a new market and, sometimes, an industry that operates very differently from what you are used to.

It means choosing the right structure and building a solid strategy from the outset.

Protecting your brand, creations and other key business assets.

Making sure your contracts and website are legally sound.

Understanding "French-style" business customs and practices.

Choosing the right partners, clients and service providers.

Above all, avoiding costly mistakes.

That’s exactly where I come in.

CUSTOMER CASE STUDIES

A real-life case from our practice, anonymized

A foreign company had begun to expand its operations in France before establishing the legal framework for its various aspects.

As the project progressed, it became necessary to revisit decisions that had already been made, revise certain contracts, and reorganize elements that had become interdependent.

The cost wasn't just that of legal corrections: it also included lost time, more difficult negotiations, and reduced freedom of action at the very moment the company needed to move forward.

PLANNING AHEAD ALLOWS US TO BUILD RATHER THAN REPAIR.

More Difficult Negotiations
Reduced freedom of action

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS - FAQ

QUESTIONS MY CLIENTS OFTEN ASK

Can I set up a French company while remaining resident abroad?

Yes, absolutely. Several options are available for setting up a French company while remaining resident abroad. During the assessment, we will work together to identify the structure best suited to your situation and objectives..

Which business structure is right for you?

It depends on your business, your partners, your tax situation and your growth plans. There is no one-size-fits-all solution — we identify the structure best suited to your specific situation.

Should I protect my trademark before I get started?

Ideally, yes. Filing for trademark protection early helps secure your brand identity and reduces the risk of conflicts with third-party rights. It is often one of the key priorities when setting up a business.

Can I hire employees in France?

Yes. Hiring employees in France is possible, but French employment law comes with its own rules and obligations. I can help you put the appropriate contracts and employer requirements in place.

Which contracts does my business need?

It depends on your business and how you operate. This may include terms and conditions, commercial agreements, licences, assignment agreements and partnership agreements. Together, we’ll identify the contracts that best protect your business.

How can you avoid creating an unintended permanent establishment in France?

This is an important tax issue for foreign companies operating in France. We assess your business structure and activities to identify potential permanent establishment risks and, where appropriate, coordinate with a tax specialist.

How does the French business and administrative system actually work?

Beyond the rules themselves, there are procedures, deadlines, administrative practices and key contacts to navigate. My role is to guide you through them, in your own language.

It deserves more than just a simple administrative formality.
